goodluck to myself :-)

I have been busy lately and still busy completing my final portfolio at last! But I still had to prepare for final exams this coming week - just too bad, too many subjects! Ohhh back in college days... phew!

Am i giving up? Of course not, maybe i must take a different approach than usual. I think so. But so far the challenges of mine made me discover my strengths and balance my weaknesses.

So yeah, need to work hard as the semester draws to an end. Oh yes, goodluck to mahself!

- i love my gadgets -

What you see is my work station and all my stuff that i can't live without. My life revolves around these things as I always work in my portfolios. Here are some short description of my gadgets and their amazing features:

HP Pavilion dv1000 multimedia notebook

What i really like with my laptop aside from its great specs, i can play my DVDs and CDs without booting up and with remote control. It has also a multi format card reader which it makes simple to upload my picts from a digicam without plugging any cables. This is perfect for a person who is always on the go like me.

Canon IXUS50 Digital Camera

Since i can't take a photo of my digicam using the same camera, I set the webcam to take this picture. Anyway, I chose this type of digicam because of its ultracompact design where i can put it in my pocket, versatile movie mode and has advanced shooting modes such as 'Underwater' and 'My Colours' that allows to adjust the saturation color before shooting a photo. But haven't tried the underwater mode, i am too afraid to lose my camera. hehe..

Canon MV920 Digital Video Camera

This mini-dv tape-based camcorder is a must-have for a media student because of its ability to transfer video to PC in a format suitable for editing. It has a powerful 25x optical zoom, easy keys function with joystick controller. Though mini-disc-based cam has evolved now but too expensive. argh!

ADSL modem

I really need this one inorder to get a high-speed internet connection. I admit I became a web addict when I shift to broadband.

LACIE 60 GB mobile hard drive.

a USB bus-powered AC adapter-free hard disk. This makes my life easy, i can backup important files especially while on the road taking video footage.

A 4pin Firewire.

I used this one to transfer video clips from the camcorder to PC.

512MB Thumb drive, Mini-dv tapes, Headsets and Webcam

These are gadgets i bought from my own pocket since i arrived here. hehe.. Just a cheap USB drive from Harvey Norman shop for 40 bucks, 10 bucks each for the tape, headset cost 30 bucks and 40 bucks for a webcam. Everytime i want to purchase something, I don't convert into peso anymore or else I can't buy.

Nokia 3650

My old mobile phone. I bought this one when i got this 13mo. bonus three years ago and sad to say it is now obsolete.

Lexmark P6210.

All-in-one printer where i can print, scan, copy and fax.

Lucky me, that my family has been always there to support my needs. A million thanks! There are lot of gadgets madness today but i must admit that sometimes i feel sad knowing the evolution of technology happens so fast every now and then. Still, these are the best stuff i've ever owned and I love my gadgets!
